My little terrier knows when I'm feeling pain and jumps up on my bed to lick the exact location from which the pain emanates providing great relief. Now whether he detects the inflamed tissues or just likes what's coming from my pores is another question, I'm on some very powerful opioids maybe he gets off on the residue.
